Victor Celso Kelly, 81, of Clinton, MD passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020.
He was born on July 28, 1938 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic to mother Ana Rosa Kelly and father Luis Felipe de Soto. Victor lived in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic before immigrating to Washington D.C. in 1959.
Victor was a bricklayer/welder by profession and worked on some of the most prominent buildings in the nation’s capital including the U.S. Capitol Building and the National Cathedral. He was a proud and long-time member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Victor was known for his love of sports namely baseball and football. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals and was proud to see his hometown baseball team reach the World Series. He was a lifelong gardener who took pride in keeping his yard meticulous and flowers in bloom year-round.
He is survived by his son Victor Kelly Jr, daughter Evelyn Kelly, daughter Crystal Perez, son Christopher Kelly, and grandson Reese Kelly.
