About Local 1

Local 1 MVD created by the International Union in 1994 when 18 locals from Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia were merged together. We currently have about 2,000 members with chapters in Baltimore, Norfolk, Richmond, South West Virginia (in Ranuke), and Washington D.C..

We cover Bricklaying, title setting, terrazzo work, stone and marble masonry, with apprenticeship programs for each of the trades.
